FarmEffective

FarmEffective is a World of Warcraft Retail addon for farming-focused session analysis with a clean emphasis on tracking, history, and selling decisions.

It does not just show what your farm run was worth. It also helps you decide when a run is actually finished, when you want to continue it later, and when it should count as sold.

What FarmEffective does

FarmEffective builds real sessions around your farming workflow.

You can:

• start, pause, resume, and stop a session
• see live loot, raw gold, GPH, and your most valuable items
• keep sessions in history as open or ended after farming
• recalculate them later with current AH data
• only mark them as sold when it actually makes sense for you

The addon intentionally separates:

• open: still ongoing or intended for auto-resume
• ended: the run is over, but the session is not sold yet
• sold: truly completed

Session Tracking

While farming, you can immediately see:

• total session value
• gold per hour
• raw gold
• item count
• latest loot
• top items
• categories
• BoE values

Shift shortcuts give you more control:

• Shift+Start forces a completely new session
• Shift+Stop ends only the current run without marking the session as sold

Commands

If you prefer slash commands or do not currently have the button open, you can control FarmEffective directly with:

• /fe: open the main window or the relevant view
• /fe start: start a session
• /fe pause: pause the active session
• /fe resume: resume a paused session
• /fe stop: stop the current run
• /fe history: open the History View
• /fe compact: open or toggle the Compact View
• /fe settings: open the settings

History & Selling Decisions

A farm run does not have to end when the farming stops.

FarmEffective is built so sessions can stay useful afterward:

• stopped sessions can remain open or ended
• ended sessions can be resumed manually
• unsold sessions can be recalculated with current AH data
• only sold sessions are treated as final

If FarmEffective detects during an AH visit that tracked session items disappeared from your bags, the addon remembers that change and asks only after the auction house is closed whether the last unsold session should now be marked as sold.

Compact View

If you do not want a large window open, use the compact view.

It shows the most important values in a lightweight format, can auto-minimize when a session starts, and can directly replace other addon views when farming begins.

Bag Review

Bag Review shows what in your bags is actually relevant and tradeable after farming.

It helps you decide what should be watched, sold later, or saved as a new comparison session.

• useful before posting, selling, or storing items

Price Sources

FarmEffective uses the price source you actually have loaded.

When you open it for the first time, the setup wizard asks which source you want to use. Only available sources are shown.

Depending on your installation, supported sources may include:

• Auctionator
• Auctioneer
• AuctionMaster
• TSM
• Oribos Exchange
• vendor value as fallback

Live Feedback & Convenience

• Floating text combines quick consecutive loot values into a single total
• Moving the floating-text position shows a short preview at the new location
• Valuable loot events can optionally trigger a selectable gold coin sound
• Mail loot can be ignored in active sessions and is excluded by default
• FarmEffective now uses its own settings view instead of relying on Blizzard settings controls
• The setup tutorial can now configure an optional WoW Token reminder directly

FarmEffective Focus

FarmEffective is intentionally no longer an all-in-one inventory utility.

Its focus is on:

• farming sessions
• valuation through price sources
• history and recalculation
• session-based selling decisions
• clear, compact presentation during and after farming

Auto Delete was intentionally removed so the addon stays consistent and trustworthy in its core use case.
