DKRot

This addon is based on a fork of CLC DK, but has been updated to support the current Warlords of Draenor changes to both spells and rotations.

Multiple rotations

DKRot now supports having more than just two different rotations for a given specialization. As of version 0.1.0-beta, the addon now have rotations based on both Icy Veins information as well as SimCraft.

External rotation registration

It is now possible for anyone to add new rotations to the addon, by creating a stub addon by themselves. DKRot exposes a function called DKROT_RegisterRotation:

DKROT_RegisterRotation(spec, rotationInfo)

This function lets anyone register a function as being a rotation for a given specialization. Currently, developers wanting to hook into this functionality should take a look at the existing rotations for DKRot to get an idea of how to generate rotations, but I will be adding some more documentation and support in coming versions of the addon

Layout Editor

The new Layout Editor now lets you fine tune the position and anchor points of each individual UI element, either by using the sliders or by entering the direct X and Y offset coordinates you want. This makes it easier to group and move parts of the UI together, for example group the Cooldown displays together and move as a unit, keeping the layout the same simply by moving a single frame.

Feedback on this new option is greatly appreciated to help further improvements.

Reporting Problems

Starting with version 0.9.7-beta of the addon, there is now a function slash command, /dkrotbug, that will open a new window with a lot of text in it. This is an export of a lot of valuable information that can greatly assist in finding and fixing bugs. Below is a list of the information gathered by the export function.

1. All the settings for the addon itself
2. Your current spec
3. Your talent selections
4. Your current selected rotation
5. The locale (language) of your client
6. Information about what trinkets youre using
7. The version of the addon

The addon will NOT collect any information about your character such as name, guild, friendslist or anything else that is not publically acessible from the WoW armory, other than the addon specific settings and version.

To use the new export feature to speed up getting bugs fixed, follow the steps below.

1. Experience a problems (duh)
2. Open http://dkrot.bunjiboys.dk/ in a browser
3. Copy the information from the lua error (if you see a lua error from the addon) and paste it into the Stacktrace box on the website
4. In the chat box type /dkrot, or go the About screen in the addon settings and click the Export button
5. Copy the encoded information from the window that pops up, and paste it into the Addon Data box on the website
6. Click the Report button
7. Click the button to copy the URL to the report (or just copy the report ID, which is at the top of the page), and post a comment with a link to the bug report.

The data is simply a lua table, which is base64 encoded. If you want to see the data before submitting it, you simply need to run it through any base64 decoder website, and you can see in clear text all the information being submitted.

If for whatever reason you choose not to use the above, the following information would be necessary to be included in the report:

1. What is your active spec
2. What is the active rotation
3. What spells have you enabled in the Rotation Options
4. Which talents have you selected
5. Are you getting any LUA errors (Please enable showing LUA errors in the client and test before reporting bugs, since a LUA stacktrace greatly improves the chances and speed at which bugs can be fixed
6. If you are running a non-english client, this is very important information as well. Please be sure to indicate this in your report.

You dont have to run a separate addon for capturing LUA errors, but I'd highly suggest installing an addon like BugSack (http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/bugsack) to give you a much better UI for dealing with LUA errors.
