Key Features
- High-visibility movable alert text with optional flash animation
- Raid-frame border glows on default Blizzard raid and party frames (LibCustomGlow PixelGlow), priority-ordered so the most important aura wins each frame
- Per-spec voice packs — Restoration Druid, Mistweaver Monk, Discipline Priest, and Holy Priest each ship dedicated TTS cues for every sounded alert, used as the default sound out of the box
- Voice priority queue — voice cues route through a four-tier queue (LOW / NORMAL / HIGH / CRITICAL) so a CRITICAL "SPREAD ATONEMENT" cue can preempt a LOW "WILD GROWTH READY" cue, but not the other way around. Generic SFX (Bell, Lamp, Ping, etc.) bypass the queue and overlap freely
- Per-alert sounds with sound preview buttons, backed by LibSharedMedia
- Per-alert color customization
- Live countdown timers with configurable per-alert thresholds, where the alert tracks a fixed window (Entropic Rift today)
- Per-character alert text overrides — every alert's text is editable in the options panel
- Dungeon vs. raid threshold modes for coverage-style alerts (Renewing Mist, Atonement)
- Event-driven alert evaluation — alert state is driven by the relevant aura, cast, talent, cooldown, and combat events instead of a polling ticker, so the addon only does work when something actually changed. Out of combat or while solo it does effectively no work
- Built to survive the 12.0.5 secret-value taint system that broke many healer addons in M+ and rated PvP — aura, cooldown, haste, and talent reads are taint-safe with graceful fallback when the API returns protected data
- Built-in performance instrumentation (
/nha perf) so you can verify the CPU cost yourself in any encounter - Talent- and hero-talent-aware cooldown prediction
- Automatic class/spec detection — the right module loads on login, spec change, or
/reload - Class-themed options panel — UI accents, scrollbar, and text inputs retint to your active spec
- Combat-only and group-only by default — alerts and glows stay silent while solo or out of combat
- Saved-variable migration from the legacy Nem: HoT Alerts addon — settings carry over automatically
- Test mode, unlock frame, and reset position for clean setup
- Compartment button support
- Self-contained — bundled media, fonts, and libraries; no external dependencies required
Support Status
Fully Supported — Event-Driven, Raid-Frame Glows, Performance-Instrumented
These specs are built on the current architecture: every alert reacts to in-game events as they happen, raid-frame border glows fire on default Blizzard frames, and /nha perf is wired up for live measurement.
- Restoration Druid
- Mistweaver Monk
- Discipline Priest
- Holy Priest
More On The Way
Additional healer specs are in active development and will go live as they reach the same event-driven, glow-capable, taint-safe bar. Until a spec ships, it shows a clean panel rather than empty or broken options.
Spec-Specific Alerts
Restoration Druid
Text alerts:
- Lifebloom Expiring — fires inside the pandemic window before your Lifebloom falls off
- Cast Lifebloom — fires when no group member is carrying your Lifebloom (mutually exclusive with Lifebloom Expiring)
- Soul of the Forest — fires while a SotF proc is up, ready to dump into Rejuvenation, Regrowth, or Wild Growth
- Wild Growth Ready — fires when Wild Growth comes off cooldown; respects the Early Spring talent and the Sprouts of the Luminous Bloom 4-piece tier set
- Tree of Life Ready — fires after your 3rd Swiftmend, signalling the next Swiftmend will proc a Reforestation treant (Reforestation talent)
- Swiftmend Ready — fires when a Swiftmend charge is available; Prosperity two-charge aware
- Abundance: Cast Regrowth — fires when your combined Rejuvenation + Germination count clears the configured threshold (7–12, default 7), so you can cash in cheap Regrowths (Abundance talent)
Raid-frame glows:
- Lifebloom pandemic glow (green) on every group member whose Lifebloom is inside the pandemic window
- Soul of the Forest glow (cyan) on every group member with a SotF-empowered Rejuvenation or Germination — multiple targets glow simultaneously and independently
Mistweaver Monk
Text alerts:
- Spread Renewing Mist — fires when active Renewing Mist coverage drops below your configured threshold (separate Party / Raid targets)
- Enveloping Mist — fires when you're channeling Soothing Mist on a target without Enveloping Mist, after a 3-second dwell so quick spot heals stay silent
- Thunder Focus Tea Ready — fires when a Thunder Focus Tea charge is up; hero-talent-aware (Conduit of the Celestials shortens the cooldown) and Endless Draught two-charge aware
Raid-frame glows:
- Enveloping Mist glow (pale yellow) — highest priority
- Renewing Mist glow (mint green) — falls through when Enveloping Mist is absent
Discipline Priest
Text alerts:
- Cast Void Shield — fires when the Void Shield proc is ready (your Power Word: Shield icon turns purple)
- Spread Atonement — fires when active Atonement coverage drops below your configured threshold (separate Party / Raid targets)
- Power Word: Shield Ready — fires when PW:S comes off cooldown (mutually exclusive with Cast Void Shield); haste- and Waste No Time-aware, with a cached-haste fallback for tainted M+ contexts
- Penance Ready — fires when a Penance charge is up; Oracle's Guiding Light three-charge build aware
- PW: Radiance Ready — fires when a Power Word: Radiance charge is available
- Mind Blast Ready — fires when Mind Blast is available; Voidweaver builds only
- Entropic Rift Active — fires when your Entropic Rift opens, with a live countdown timer for the window; Voidweaver builds only
Raid-frame glows:
- Void Shield glow (purple) — highest priority
- Atonement glow — falls through when Void Shield is absent
Holy Priest
Text alerts:
- Prayer of Mending Ready — fires when a Prayer of Mending charge is available; Waste No Time-aware in Oracle builds
- Holy Word: Serenity Ready — fires when Serenity comes back up; tracks Flash Heal / single-target cooldown reductions and Prophet's Insight (Oracle), and steps aside for Ultimate Serenity builds
- Holy Word: Sanctify Ready — fires when Sanctify comes back up; tracks Prayer of Healing / Halo cooldown reductions and Prophet's Insight
Raid-frame glows:
- Renew glow (light green) — highest priority
- Prayer of Mending glow (gold) — falls through when Renew is absent
Voice Packs
Every supported spec ships a dedicated set of class-specific TTS voice cues, used as the default sound for every sounded alert. They appear under a Class TTS header at the bottom of every sound dropdown, filtered to the active spec's class so the list stays clean.
- Restoration Druid — 8 cues: Lifebloom, Lifebloom Expiring, Cast Lifebloom, Soul of the Forest, Wild Growth, Swiftmend, Tree of Life, Abundance
- Mistweaver Monk — 4 cues: Renewing Mist, Spread Renewing Mist, Enveloping Mist, Thunder Focus Tea
- Discipline Priest — 8 cues: Atonement, Spread Atonement, Void Shield, Power Word: Shield, Penance, Radiance, Mind Blast, Entropic Rift
- Holy Priest — 3 cues: Prayer of Mending, Serenity, Sanctify
Voice cues route through a four-tier priority queue — LOW / NORMAL / HIGH / CRITICAL — so cues never talk over each other. Higher-priority cues preempt lower; identical-priority cues drop instead of stacking; each alert has a 4-second per-alert cooldown so a flickering condition can't machine-gun the same cue. Generic SFX (Bell, Lamp, Ping, Redfox, Sonar, and more) bypass the queue entirely and overlap freely.
Logging in or switching specs no longer triggers a wave of cues for whatever was already true — a brief silence on activation lets the addon settle without blasting you on entry. /nha test cycles alerts visually only; no sound plays during the test loop.
Slash Commands
/nha, /healeralerts, and the legacy /hotalerts alias all map to the same handler.
Core:
/nha— open options/nha on/off/toggle— enable, disable, or toggle the addon/nha test— toggle test mode (visual only — no sound)/nha status— show enabled state, test mode, and active class/nha version— show the addon version/nha help— list available commands (including any registered by the active spec)/nha reset— clear saved variables and reload the UI/nha unlock//nha lock— show or hide the movable alert frame/nha debug— print a diagnostic snapshot (class, spec, enabled state, group state, glow hook state, spec flags)
Spec-specific (registered by the active module):
/nha perf on//nha perf//nha perf off— start, peek, and stop live performance measurement (all supported specs)/nha env— Enveloping Mist diagnostic (Mistweaver Monk)
Customization & Options
The in-game options panel is organized into four sections — Display, Sounds, Alerts, and Alert Options — and supports:
- Per-alert enable / disable
- Per-alert sound selection, with sound preview buttons
- Per-alert color customization
- Per-alert countdown timer toggles where applicable
- Per-alert text editors — clear a box to restore the built-in default
- Spec-specific numeric inputs (coverage thresholds, Abundance count, etc.)
- Font picker and font size, applied live
- Test mode, unlock frame, center position
- Restore Defaults — resets all alert colors, texts, font, and frame position to built-in defaults
The bundled sound library is backed by LibSharedMedia, so any sounds added by other addons are also available in every dropdown. Four generic sounds (Bell, Lamp, Ping, Redfox) remain available for any alert alongside the per-spec voice cues.
Additional Notes
- WoW Retail only
- Each spec module is fully self-contained — adding, changing, or disabling one spec never affects another
- Saved variables migrate automatically from Nem: HoT Alerts on first load
- Bundled libraries: LibStub, CallbackHandler-1.0, LibSharedMedia-3.0, LibCustomGlow-1.0
- Self-contained media: generic sounds, per-spec voice cues, and a full font library
