Mythic Plus Utility - MPU

Introduction

Mythic Plus Utility is designed to help new and experienced players in Mythic+ dungeons by showing which utility ability they should take and where to use it.

Usage

• /mpu - opens addon settings out of combat
• /mpu show - opens Utility Window for selected dungeon in settings
• /mpu minimap - toggles Minimap Button
• /mpu profile - opens profile settings out of combat

Key Features

• Customisable Window with utility abilities for a dungeon
• Clickable icons to show where to use that ability
• Abilities that are used only on yourself have a special symbol near their name
• Highlight in the talent menu
• Entries where to use an ability have an importance distinction:
  • ! - strong impact, a must-have pick in most cases
  • no indication - moderate impact, taking and using this ability is recommended
  • ? - low impact, taking and using this ability for this alone is not worth it in most cases
• Icon cosmetics like icon colour, text, and icon glow, based on the ability type:
  • Known - Currently known abilities that will be useful for this dungeon.
  • Known Not Important - Currently known abilities that will be useful for this dungeon and only contain dungeon entries that are marked with ?. If disabled, "Known" settings will be used.
  • Add - Currently not known abilities that will be useful in this dungeon.
  • Add Not Important - Currently not known abilities that will be useful in this dungeon and only contain dungeon entries that are marked with ?. If disabled, "Add" settings will be used.
  • Remove - Talents that can be unlearned for this dungeon. Does not check if the talent is a prerequisite for another talent that is needed.

Not included

• Magical debuffs on friendly players and abilities that remove them - they are a healer-specific mechanic with some exceptions
• Interrupt abilities and important casts that are interrupt-only - out of the scope for this project
• Invisibility, shroud, etc. - they are route-specific
• Niche class-specific abilities like Spell Reflection and AMS precast - out of the scope for this project

To Do

• An option to disable specific spells from showing in the window
• An option to add custom abilities
• An option to add custom dungeon entries

Localisation
