COMPENDIUM EDITION

Finding items in Classic can be a grind—we're making it a little easier. This update introduces the first phase of our new compendium, allowing you to go from "searching for an item" to "standing in front of the source." This feature is experimental, and we are still working on refining our data, so bear with us as work continues.

New Experimental Features

A brand new Compendium user interface: A massive, searchable item and NPC database built directly into the game.

• Compendium loot tables are here! Want to know what Illidan Stormrage in the Black Temple is likely to drop? Look him up in the Compendium!
• What are your chances of getting Ashes of Al'Ar from Kael'thas Sunstrider? It's in the Compendium!
• Search for any item to see who sells it or drops it.
• Search for an NPC to see their full inventory or loot table.
• Navigation HUD: A new on-screen directional arrow and distance tracker. It points you exactly where you need to go without you having to constantly check your world map.
• TomTom Support: If you already use TomTom, WDIGI now plays nice! Clicking coordinates in the addon will now automatically set a TomTom "Crazy Arrow" waypoint.

Improvements & Fixes

• Major refactor of several rendering engines for compendium views.
• Missing and [?] Loading results should be gone for good!
• Additional fixes and cleanup for item locations. This is an incremental process. More fixes coming soon!

• Fixed major display bug with drop percentage display in tooltips and compendium
• Updated compendium views to break down loot tables by drop change (common, rare, extremely rare)

• Major update and refinements to location data and accuracy!
• Drop rates are now color-coded making it easier to see who provides a better chance for an item to drop.
• Fixed some user interface and display issues.
• Smarter Categorization: We’ve overhauled how we label world sources. You’ll now see clear distinctions between a Vendor (someone you buy from) and a Source (mobs, chests, or world objects).
• Better Data Accuracy: We have verified and "shielded" hundreds of key NPC locations (like Innkeepers and major quest mobs) to ensure the coordinates are 100% accurate.
• Enhanced Navigation: Vendors now show a "GO TO LOCATION" shortcut at the top of their item lists. Click it to immediately start heading their way.

Known Issues

• Some items have innacurate locations. If you see one, let us know.

How to Get Started

The Compendium feature is now enabled by default. If for some reason yours is not showing (icon on your minimap):

1. Open your Game Menu (Esc).
2. Go to Options > Addons > Where Do I Get It?
3. Check the box for Enable Search Compendium.

Developer’s Note: This update is powered by a massive database of over 1.3 million entries. We are constantly refining the data to ensure accuracy. If you find an item or NPC that’s slightly off or an item missing its source, please let us know!
