TaskTracker is a clean, modern task and goal tracking addon for World of Warcraft: Midnight. Designed as a personal weekly and daily checklist, it keeps all your important activities organized in one sleek panel.

A note before you download:

I built this for myself and a small group of friends. Other similar addons were great, but missing critical features I was looking for. Instead of filing more requests in someone else’s issue tracker, I decided to make something that fit what we needed.

I don’t expect this to get wide use. It’s a personal project that I’m sharing in case it helps anyone else.

AI disclosure: While I have moderate to intermediate programming experience, I built this with a lot of help from Cursor and Claude AI. Some people prefer to avoid AI‑assisted work, and you should have that information up front.

All visuals use Blizzard’s built‑in interface assets or assets I created myself. No AI‑generated art.

  Features:

  • Fully customizable task tree — Create unlimited nested groups and tasks. Organize your goals exactly how you want them, with pick-and-place reordering in edit mode.
  • Automated activity tracking — Many built-in tracking types, with pre-built game modules and your own custom advanced tasks.
    • Quest completion (with quest state icons on tracked rows)
    • Mob and boss kills
    • Collectables — mounts, pets, toys, and more from a built-in catalog (including rare dailies and some fishing goals)
    • Items and currency
    • Gold
    • Achievements — pick a specific goal or mirror the in-game progress bar
    • Reputation — standing tiers, Renown, and Paragon-style progress
  • Power module — A focused “what’s still worth doing for gear?” view for weekly activities that have known rewards.
    • Turn it on under Options → Modules → Power. It adds a Power group at the top of your list that mirrors those weeklies in one place.
    • Each row can show a reward icon and item level for what you’d get next. Hover the icon for the full reward name, ilvl gate, and whether it’s a pinnacle or shared weekly pool.
    • The addon compares rewards to your equipped item level (or a number you set in the Details window). Once you’re geared past a reward’s ilvl, that activity can drop out of the Power list so you’re not chasing upgrades you no longer need — the same row still lives under its normal module (Midnight weeklies, Delves, etc.) for progress tracking.
    • Some weeklies share a weekly cap (for example, only so many pinnacle caches per reset). Power tracks which slots you’ve already “used” so the hint moves on to the next tier instead of pretending every pinnacle row is still available.
    • Prey and similar rows can switch hints after your first completion of the week (chest vs crest-style follow-ups).
    • Open Details from the Power options section for a full table of every reward slot, pool usage, and an optional ilvl override if you want to plan for an alt or a target gear level.
    • Power is guidance only — it does not change loot in-game.
  • Other built-in modulesProfessions (per-profession weeklies once you’ve opened a profession window), seasonal patch weeklies, Great Vault status, Delves, and more — each toggled under Options → Modules.
  • Character or account progress — Mark tasks as per-character or shared account-wide. Character tasks keep separate checklists on each alt; choose whether other characters can see those rows. Account tasks stay in sync everywhere.
  • Task notes — Assign notes to every task: mob lists, goals, step-by-step plans, whatever helps.
  • Create commands — Turn note lines into quick buttons for /way commands, toys, spells, items, and other slash actions.
  • Share tasks and groups — Copy a task or whole group as text to send to a friend, or paste one in to add it to your tree (progress is not copied).
  • Manual override — Auto-tracked entries can be marked done or undone with a click (yellow checkbox). Ctrl+click clears a manual lock and shows the live game count again.
  • Quick progress edits — Shift-click the x/x counter to adjust tracked and automated values; right-click registry rows to nudge counts down when needed.
  • Reset schedule — Match daily and weekly resets to your region (US, EU) or set a custom schedule in options.
  • Edit mode — Lock the panel for everyday use. Unlock edit mode to add, rename, delete, and reorder anything in your task tree.
  • Hide completed — Toggle finished tasks out of view; fully completed groups can collapse too. Works in edit mode as well as normal use.

Slash commands:

  • /tt — Toggle the panel open/closed
  • /tt options — Open the options panel directly

Planned features:

  • Short term vs long term goal tracking
