Tired of explaining the fight every time you run a heroic? Explain The Fight helps groups quickly understand boss mechanics without leaving the game.

When a supported dungeon, raid, or world boss is detected, the addon opens a small movable guide window with concise role-based instructions for:

• Tank
• DPS
• Healer
• Everyone

Each guide is written as a short, practical summary focused on what players should do during the fight.

Features

• Detects supported dungeon, raid, and world boss encounters
• Shows role-specific fight guidance in a compact pocket-sized UI
• Lets you select the current instance and boss manually
• Provides chat-ready summaries for Party, Raid, Instance, Say, Yell, and other valid channels
• Uses an explicit Send button only
• Includes a Select Text fallback for manual copy and paste
• Optional auto pop-up behavior
• Optional minimap button
• Addon settings panel under Options > AddOns > ETF

Commands

• /etf opens or closes the guide
• /etf boss <name> searches for a boss
• /etf instance <name> selects an instance
• /etf audit checks local guide coverage
• /etf reset resets the window position
• /etf copy enables copy-preferred mode
• /etf send enables send mode when allowed
