Listener is a chat history and message capture addon for World of Warcraft 3.3.5, ported from the retail version by Tammya-MoonGuard and adapted for WotLK Features
Multiple chat windows - Open and manage several independent chat history windows simultaneously. Each window can be named, repositioned, resized, and configured independently.
Message filtering - Each window captures only the chat channels you choose: Say, Emote, Yell, Party, Raid, Whisper, Guild, and more. Channels can be toggled per-window from the filter menu.
Snooper - Target a player and the Snooper window will track all of their visible messages in real time. Useful for keeping an eye on someone across a busy environment.
Keyword highlighting - Define keywords that trigger a sound alert and visual highlight when they appear in captured messages.
Sound notifications - Plays a sound when new messages arrive, with per-window sound settings.
DM Tags - A helper tool for dungeon masters. Tags unit frames with an indicator for players who have unacknowledged messages, so a DM can tell at a glance who needs attention.
Roleplay name support - Integrates with Total RP 3, MyRolePlay, and XRP to display characters' RP names and colors instead of their toon names.
Color theming - Customize the background, border, and titlebar color of each window independently, or sync them with a single click.
Minimap button - Quick access to all windows and settings from a draggable minimap icon.
Copy frame - Select and copy message text directly from any window.
About this port
This version is based on Listener v2.2.15 (retail 12.x) by Tammya-MoonGuard, rewritten for compatibility with WotLK 3.3.5. The retail addon made heavy use of post-WotLK APIs (C_Timer, C_FriendList, C_Club, SOUNDKIT, and others) that do not exist in this client version. All of these have been replaced with their WotLK equivalents or gracefully stubbed out. The bundled Ace3 libraries have also been patched for 3.3.5 compatibility.
Communities/Instance chat features present in the retail version are not available and have been removed.
Integrates well with the https://github.com/joyvanderveeken/Total-RP-3-WotLK TotalRP3-WotLK addon.
