Gold Digger is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon that tracks your gold flow during a play session in real time. It focuses on clarity, accuracy, and a clean Blizzard-style UI — without unnecessary complexity.

Version 3.6 adds an "Open main window on login" setting so you can choose whether the main window appears automatically on login or stays hidden until you open it manually.

📜 Session Event Log

Gold Digger records individual gold events during each session.

Each log entry includes:

• Timestamp
• Amount gained or spent
• Detected source of the transaction

Session logs allow you to review exactly when and how gold changes occurred during gameplay.

Logs are also stored when a session is saved to history.

🔍 Session Log Viewer

A dedicated log viewer window opens when inspecting a session.

• Displays every recorded gold event
• Shows timestamp, source, and gold amount per entry
• Paginated — 11 entries per page with Prev / Next navigation
• Page indicator shows Page X of Y (N entries)
• Opens at the last page — most recent events are visible immediately
• Window title includes the session ID
• Moveable window with saved position

🧭 Dynamic Blizzard-Style UI

The main window uses a clean, compact layout consistent with Blizzard interface design.

• Structured rows for key session data

🪟 Compact Mode

A minimal two-row window for active play when screen space matters.

Toggle via the gear menu, Settings → UI, or /gd compact.

In compact mode:

• Shows only Profit, Gold per Hour, and Session Time
• Hides title, session ID, income/expense rows, GPH comparison, and Pause/Reset buttons
• When the auto-reset timer is active, Session Time merges into a single row: 17m 19s / 60m
• The merged timer turns orange under 10 minutes and red under 2 minutes

⚙️ Window Display Options

You can customize which metrics appear in the main window.

Options include toggling visibility of:

• Session ID
• Income
• Expenses
• Gold per Hour
• GPH Comparison (disabled automatically when GPH is hidden)
• Session Time
• Timer Countdown (disabled automatically when timer is off)
• Compact Mode — minimal window for active play

Profit is always displayed as it represents the primary session value.

Changes apply instantly without reloading.

Options to control session log behavior:

• Show log events in chat — prints gold events live in chat
• Max Session Log Entries — limits how many events are stored during a session

⏱️ Active Time System

Gold Digger measures true active session time, not real-world elapsed time.

• Paused sessions do not accumulate time
• AFK pauses do not inflate Gold/hour values
• Logout time is not counted
• Provides realistic performance metrics

⏸️ Pause & Resume

You can pause tracking at any time.

• Manual pause/resume button
• Optional automatic pause while AFK
• Session timer indicates paused state
• Gold changes are ignored while paused
• Manual resume overrides automatic AFK pause

🧠 Session Persistence

Your current session continues seamlessly across reloads or relogs.

• Session state saved automatically
• Active or paused state restored on login
• No loss of progress mid-session

📜 Session History

Previous sessions are stored and viewable.

• Dedicated history window
• Profit, duration, and Gold/hour for each session
• Sortable columns — click Date, Profit, Duration, or GPH to cycle sort states: first click descending (▼), second ascending (▲), third resets to default session ID order; active column highlighted with a gold arrow; sort state is remembered across sessions
• Summary statistics across all recorded sessions
• Total profit and total tracked time
• Average profit and average Gold/hour
• Best session indicators
• Session count
• Configurable history size
• Option to clear all history
• Live session row — current session always visible at the top (toggleable in settings)

The history window always shows the current active session as a live row pinned at the top, above all saved sessions. The live row displays real-time profit, duration, GPH, and active/paused status. Hovering shows the same source breakdown tooltip as saved sessions. Right-clicking opens a context menu with Show Log for the current session log. Can be toggled in Settings → History.

Each saved history row is clickable — right-clicking opens a context menu with:

• Show Log — view the full event log for that session
• Delete — remove that session with a confirmation dialog

Hovering over a history row shows a source breakdown tooltip with income and expenses grouped by source, plus the character name and zone recorded when the session was saved.

The interface includes several utility controls:

• Minimap Button — click to toggle the main window, right-click for options, drag to reposition; tooltip shows live profit, GPH, time, and full income/expense source breakdown
• Options Menu — quick access to addon settings
• Reset — start a new session
• History — open session history
• Show Session Log — open the log viewer for the current session
• Pause/Resume — control tracking
• Lock — prevent accidental movement
• Compact Mode — toggle minimal view

Window behavior:

• Movable when unlocked
• Position saved automatically
• Layout adjusts dynamically to content
• No manual resizing required
