ResistAlertTBC

Description

ResistAlertTBC is a lightweight PvP-focused addon for WoW TBC Classic that notifies you when your key spells are Resisted or your target is Immune. It shows a clear on-screen alert (icon + text), plays an optional sound, and can also display a compact resist/immune indicator directly on enemy nameplates (Plater supported). You choose exactly which spells to track, so you only get alerts that matter.

How it works

1) Combat log detection

ResistAlertTBC listens to the combat log and detects when one of your tracked spells results in:

• RESIST (shown as “Résistance” in French clients, but detected internally as RESIST)

• IMMUNE

When a tracked event occurs, the addon triggers an alert.

2) On-screen alert

By default, the addon displays an on-screen warning using your chosen display mode:

• Icon + text (recommended)

• (other display modes if available in your options)

You can configure:

• X/Y position

• icon size

• text size

• spacing between icon and text

• display duration

• sound preset or custom sound path

3) Spell selection (tracked list)

You control what gets tracked:

• Use Scan ID (player) (and pet scan support) to build a local list of spells/abilities.

• Open Manage scanned spells and enable (“track”) only the spells you care about.

• Nameplate alerts can be set to display only for spells already tracked in this list.

4) Nameplate mode (Plater)

Optional module: show resist/immune feedback on the enemy’s nameplate.

• Displays the spell icon in place of the name area, with “Resisted” / “Immune” text underneath.

• Fully configurable (position, sizes, spacing, duration).

• Only appears if the enemy nameplate is visible (normal nameplate behavior).
