Beta notice. WoW: Forever is in beta, and so is SelfFound Forever. When WoW: Forever officially launches, beta characters and everything they earned are gone, and the SelfFound Roster starts over completely: everyone begins a new level 1 character and joins the Roster again. Play the beta to learn the challenge, find the bugs with us and help shape the addon before the real race begins.

Everything you own, you earned yourself. SelfFound Forever turns World of Warcraft: Forever into a Self-Found challenge: no Auction House, no mail, no trading, no guild bank. Every piece of gear, every gold coin and every mount comes from your own adventures, your own professions and your own vendor runs.

You are not alone though: quest, group, run dungeons and raid with friends like you always do. What you cannot do is buy, trade or receive your way to the top.

Why you will love it

• 337 Deeds (achievements) to unlock: for leveling, gold, vendoring, bags and bank, every profession, crafted gear and much more. Each one tells you exactly how to earn it.
• New in 0.5: Adventure. 57 Deeds for questing (up to 1,500 quests), dungeons and raids, PvP (honorable kills and every rank up to Grand Marshal / High Warlord), rare creatures and exploration (map areas, zones and flight paths).
• More Deeds to come: Deeds for every dungeon and raid, famous rare creatures, fully explored zones and more follow in updates after WoW: Forever launches.
• Grand Deeds for the big moments, like buying your first mount with gold you earned yourself.
• Deed Score. Every Deed adds to your score. Milestones, a Deed tracker on your screen, a searchable Deed list and a journal of your whole run.
• An honest run. The addon closes the Auction House, mailbox, trade and guild bank windows for you and keeps your status: Clean, Unverified or Failed. No resets, no excuses. Only when a bug or a hacked account broke a run can the moderators restore it, with a code the bot signs and nobody can fake.
• Make it yours. Window background and opacity, the game's fonts, and a Deed popup you can move, resize and test.
• See other SelfFound players in your guild and group, with their status and score.

Get started

1. Make a new level 1 character.
2. Type /sff and click Begin the Challenge.
3. Every Deed from then on is yours.

The rules in short

A blocked attempt is not a violation. Anything the addon cannot confirm makes a run Unverified, never Failed.

Good to know

• How hard is it to cheat? Harder, never impossible. The addon seals its saved data and every share code, so a file or a code that was edited by hand no longer matches. It also asks the game for your played time (/played, once at login: the game prints its usual chat lines) and compares it with what it saw, so play with the addon turned off shows up. The Roster checks for numbers that cannot be true and sends odd characters to a moderator. Nothing here is tamper-proof: anyone who reads the addon's source can still fake things. These checks only stop stray edits and quick tricks.
• When something cannot be verified, your run becomes Unverified, never Failed. Unverified means "could not be verified", not "cheated".
• A crash costs you nothing. Play the addon could not see is counted for the moderators, but your status stays.
• A bug or a hack broke your run? Ask in the Discord. After a moderator decision you get a restore code (/sff restore). It is the one thing in SelfFound Forever that cannot be faked.
• The Roster is an honour system, and the community is what makes it count.
• Lost your data? The game keeps the previous save as SelfFoundForever.lua.bak in WTF\Account\YOUR-ACCOUNT\SavedVariables.
• Commands: /sff, /sff share <key>, /sff status, /sff deeds, /sff restore, /sff bug, /sff help.
