BetterBlizzPlates is an addon that takes the default Blizzard nameplates and enhances them with additional features and allows you to customize just about everything on them. You can choose to customize everything from scratch (completely default nameplates) or you can import one of the many included profiles.

🚀 Features

All features are off by default so you can ease your way into things but I highly recommend either the Starter Profile for a quick start with all the core minimalistic features enabled or one of the more advanced profiles!

🔄 Classic & Retail Nameplate Options

Switch between classic and retail nameplate styles depending on your preference. You can have retail nameplates on classic and classic nameplates on retail!

⚡ Totem Indicator

Important totems and NPCs get highlighted with a large icon and glow.

• All Totems can be customized individually with settings such as color, size, and an "Icon Only" mode removing healthbar and name.
• Fully configured from the get go but you can add your own new NPCs and also import others presets!

🛡️ Class/Spec Icon & Party Pointer Marker

Easily identify the class and specialization of enemies and allies with clear, customizable icons with Class Indicator. You can also use Party Pointer to locate your teammates effortlessly with a customizable arrow pointer above their nameplates.

• Circle or Square Icon, can be separate for friendly/enemy.
• Displays Battleground Objectives (Flag/Orb)
• Show on your Pet.
• Can be configured to show on all friendly and only enemy healer & Battleground Objectives.
• Target highlight glow.
• Can replace name with health percentage.

❌ Hide Unwanted Nameplates

There are multiple ways to hide unwanted nameplates.

• You can completely hide them, making them unclickable.
• Replace them with a small Murloc icon to keep track of how many are active
• Fade them out for reduced visibility.

🌟 Aura Filtering & Settings

Easily customize aura size, position, and sorting to fit your preferences. You can filter nameplate auras to display only the ones you care about and highlight specific auras with a glow, resize them, or both for better visibility.

• Adjust aura size, position, and sorting with ease.
• Filter nameplate auras to display only the ones you care about.
• PvP CC & PvP Buff filters with optional color coded glow.
• Highlight specific auras with a glow, resize them, or both.
• Add Pandemic Glow to chosen auras to have them highlight in the pandemic window.

🎨 Nameplate Coloring

Change the color of nameplates to make them stand out the way you want. You can color specific NPCs by name or ID, adjust nameplate colors based on active auras, and highlight your target or focus with a different color.

• Color by ID/Name: Assign distinct colors to nameplates based on specific NPC IDs or names.
• Color by Auras: Change nameplate colors when certain auras are present and set priority of which color is king, making it easier to identify targets with specific buffs/debuffs.
• Color Target/Focus: Highlight the target and focus nameplates with unique colors for better visual distinction.
• Supports Plater imports!

🛡️ Absorb Indicators

Displays shield amounts directly on health bars, showing exactly how much absorb protection a unit has.

🎨 Fonts & Textures

Choose from various font styles and textures to suit your UI aesthetic. Supports SharedMedia so fonts and textures from other addons are available and you can import your own as well.

BetterBlizzPlates offers a range of extra customization options to fine-tune your nameplates to your needs:

• Size Settings: Customize height and width for nameplates.
• Personal Resource Bar: Customize width, height, and position for personal resource display.
• Target & Focus Indicators: Add an icon to Target/Focus Nameplate and/or re-color/re-texture them.
• Combat Indicator: Show an icon for out-of-combat nameplates for easy view on sap windows.
• Name Formatting: Hide realm names, display Arena ID or specialization, or shorten NPC names.
• Castbar Customization: Adjust size, position, and colors, with options to hide certain casts or enlarge imporant ones.
• CVar Settings: Access important nameplate-related CVars to fine-tune their behavior.
