Assignment Taker is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon designed to help raid members quickly view and track their personal assignments from Raid Leaders using the WOSAssignments addon. It receives addon messages sent by raid leaders and displays your current task in a clean, movable on-screen display — keeping you focused on the fight without cluttering your UI.
Tired scrolling up back through raid chat to find your assignment amongst the loot spam? Assignment Taker shows your assignment front and centre, if you have one, and disappears if you don’t! Perfect for any raiders who get assigned a specific role, be it CC, Tanking, Healing or targeted DPS tasks.
If your Raid Leaders are not using the WOSAssignments addon, ask them to consider adopting it so you can make use of this game-changing Taker tool.
Features
- Real-Time Assignment Display: Automatically receives and shows your current assignment via addon messages. Supports text and raid icons like {star}, {skull}, {diamond}, etc., which are rendered as proper in-game icons on the display.
- Raid-Only Visibility: The frame appears only when you're in a raid group and hides automatically when you leave.
- Movable and Persistent: Drag the frame anywhere on your screen—position is saved across sessions.
- Minimal Overhead: No unnecessary events or bloat—optimised for ultra-lightweight performance in high-stakes encounters.
In-Game Setup:
- Join a raid where the leader is using WOSAssignments (only works in conjunction with this specific addon)
- Use /taker show to see the frame and drag it to a convenient spot on your screen. Use /taker hide to tuck it away again.
- Your assignment will appear in your chosen spot if you have one.
- Your displayed task will update instantly when a Raid Leader posts new assignments – if you are not included in the next assignment your display will disappear, so you are never left in doubt.
