Quips

Quips is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon designed to bring your character to life by adding contextual flavor lines during combat and exploration. Featuring a customizable mood and personality system, your character will dynamically react to specific situations—like dropping to low health, successfully interrupting a spell, or securing a victory.

MACRO TIPS

• Use the "/quips attack" command in a macro for an ability you use frequently.

• Use the "/quips burst" command in a macro for an ability that boosts damage and typically has a longer cooldown.

• Use the "/quips defensive" command in a macro for an ability that reduces damage or grants temporary HP.

• If you use the attack and burst commands for multiple abilities, be sure to adjust the frequency down so as not to spam when in a group (or disable Quips in dungeons and raids altogether).

ABILITY MAPPER

Quips can map action-bar abilities to Quips commands without requiring a macro. Single-Button Assistant is supported too; Quips maps the spell currently shown by SBA.

• Open Quips settings and use "Ability Mapper" to map action-bar abilities to Attack, Burst, Defensive, Interrupt, Heal, or None.
• Mappings are saved per character in SavedVariables.
• When a mapped spell is used from a Blizzard action bar, Quips runs the selected command alongside the normal cast.
• On first login with no ability mappings, Quips scans existing macros that contain "/quips attack", "/quips burst", "/quips defensive", "/quips interrupt", or "/quips heal" and imports matching spell mappings.

WELLNESS SYSTEM

The Wellness system simulates your character's Hunger and Comfort levels.
• Hunger increases over time and decreases when you eat or are healed by certain spells.
• Comfort decreases when you are in cold environments, mounted for a long time, or at low health.
• High Hunger or low Comfort will lock your character into a Grumpy mood and trigger specific complaints!

• Add illness simulation to Wellness system (e.g. colds, infections, etc.)
• Advanced pet system (affection levels, moods, etc.)
• Add more conditions that grant warmth (fire weapons, fire transmogs, firey pets, Recuperation, etc.)
• Add quips to more actions, like looting.
• New personalities.

NOTE: Due to current limitations of the WoW API, some features--especially related to target information--will not work in dungeons, delves or raids, or with world bosses.

KNOWN ISSUES:
• Some vanity pets may be incorrectly identified as animals, which results in weird interactions.
