You can play the Purity challenge completely standalone! However, if you want to immortalize your character on our official leaderboards, we use a tiered system to ensure competitive fairness:

Verified Runs (The Gold Standard): Requires the optional Purity Companion App. The desktop app runs alongside your game to sync your live telemetry and validate your run with zero-trust anti-cheat math.

Honor Runs (Web Submission): Don't want to use a background app? No problem. You can paste your in-game completion string directly into our website to secure your rank under the Honor System.

​Purity is a leveling challenge addon that transforms the leveling experience into a true test of skill, creativity, and class knowledge. This isn't just about not dying—it's about thriving under a set of strict, thematic rules that force you to play your class in ways you've never imagined.

​At level 1, you will accept a Vow of Purity, locking you into a unique challenge for that character permanently. With a custom-themed UI and automated rule enforcement, the addon becomes your guide and your judge. Break the vow, and the challenge is over. Succeed, and you will earn a place on our leaderboards, proving your mastery to the community.

​A Challenge for Every Playstyle

​Purity features over 30 unique challenges across Classic Era, Burning Crusade Anniversary, and Mists of Pandaria Classic. Whether you're a mechanical genius, a creative adventurer, or a dedicated roleplayer, there is a vow for you. Here are just a few examples:

​For the Mechanical Master:

​The Blood Mage's Bargain: Make a pact for power, paid in blood. Dealing damage also takes from your own life force. Be warned, as any self-healing will weaken the pact and temporarily increase the blood price of your magic.

​Astrolabe of Purity (Druid): Become a Celestial Weaver who must perfectly alternate between Nature and Arcane damaging spells, turning your rotation into a delicate, deadly dance.

​Brand of Purity (Warrior): Embrace the Berserker. You must shun shields and always initiate combat with Charge, forcing a hyper-aggressive playstyle where defense is an afterthought.

​For the Eccentric Adventurer:

​Fisherman's Folly: The ultimate angler's trial. Can you reach the level cap equipping only items you've fished from the waters of Azeroth?

​The Drunken Master: A challenge of inebriated combat. You must adventure through the world while maintaining your Drunken stupor at all times, turning every fight into a stumbling, unpredictable brawl.

​Oath of Purity (Paladin): Embody the true Guardian. You may never initiate combat, acting only as a protector who responds to the aggression of others.

​…and dozens more, including challenges that restrict you to a single school of magic (Mage), force you to fight without a pet as a lone marksman (Hunter), or prove your skill as a fencer with a single blade (Rogue).
