SpellCoda

SpellCoda is a dynamic spell calculator, featuring configurable tooltips, overlays, item upgrade evaluation and a spell catalogue browser. Serves the curious player, providing character-specific data on ability effectiveness and making optimization of playstyle and itemization hands-on and intuitive.

Features

• Calculates various metrics like DPS/HPS, efficiency, stat weights, etc.
• Shows metrics in spell tooltips (configurable)
• Shows metrics on spell icons (configurable)

• A spell catalogue browser, including seasonal abilities.
• Implements many intricate combat mechanic details.
• Applies buffs, talents, equipment, enchants, runes, hidden auras such as seasonal tunings.
• Sandbox calculator mode where you can apply theoretical items, stats, buffs/debuffs and talents.
• Cross-character profiles with dual-spec support.
• Addon data is generated from the most recent client version each time, staying up to date with thousands of spells and effects to be included in the calculations.

Caveats

• This is not a simulation tool!!! Use a simulator to optimize your character for fixed, full-fledged fights.
• Spells are typically computed on a per ability basis using probabilistic expectation but may take into account averages of various effects that are reasonable enough (e.g. Nature's Grace, Illumination, Clearcast talents etc) according to your configuration.

Localization

The addon is functionally localization agnostic. Localization of UI strings is also supported, can be turned on in settings but only has some placeholders from automated translations.
