Random Smart Mount

Random Smart Mount is a smart mounting addon built around one simple idea: press a button and get the right mount for the situation.

It can choose flying, ground, swimming, ride-along, service, preferred, or grouped mounts based on where you are and what you’re doing. It also includes a full Control Center UI, mount usage statistics, profiles, target mount matching, blacklist tools, and preview/debug information so you can see exactly why a mount was chosen.

Smart Mounting

• One main smart mount keybind.
• Uses flying mounts only when flying is available.

Service and Ride-Along Mounts

• Dedicated keybinds for:
  • Vendor mounts
  • Auction House mounts
  • Ride-along/passenger mounts
• Service mounts can be excluded from normal random selection.
• Choose preferred service mounts or use the built-in priority order.
• Ride-along logic supports flying, ground, and low-level passenger mount situations.

Mount Groups

• Create custom mount groups.
• Add collected mounts to a group.
• Set an active group to limit normal smart random selection.
• Useful for themed sets, expansion-specific mounts, roleplay sets, or character-specific mount pools.

Target Mount Matching

• Movable floating button for matching your target’s mount.
• If your target is mounted and you own the same usable mount, the button can summon it.
• Button icon updates to show the detected target mount.
• Button can be resized from the Control Center.
• Can be shown or hidden per profile.

Control Center UI

• Dedicated in-game configuration window.
• Minimap button support.
• Pick Preview tab shows what the addon would do before you press the mount key.
• Decision details explain why a mount was selected or skipped.
• Recent mounts list.
• Mount usage statistics with Most Used, Recent, and Least Used views.
• Confirmation prompts for destructive actions like clearing history or deleting groups.

Profiles

• Account-wide profile.
• Per-character profile.
• Per-class profile.
• Copy settings between profiles.
• Reset only the active profile.
• Profiles include settings, groups, blacklist, preferred mounts, service choices, recent mounts, and usage stats.

Notes

Target mount matching depends on whether World of Warcraft exposes the target’s mounted aura in a way the addon can identify. If the target’s mount can be detected and you own a usable copy, Random Smart Mount can match it.
