Button Assistant Enhanced

Button Assistant Enhanced is a standalone, lightweight WoW Retail addon built to upgrade Blizzard’s default Assisted Combat feature. If you've ever tried using the default assistant and found it a bit too quiet, vague, or just plain boring to look at during a chaotic fight, this addon is here to make it feel alive.

It turns the recommended ability into a clean, highly configurable button that sits exactly where you want it. Whether you are pushing keys, leveling alts, doing world content, or just chilling with a cold beer in one hand and your mouse in the other, Button Assistant Enhanced helps you understand what the assistant wants from you without staring at your action bars all night.

What It Does

We kept it clean and readable, not like a cockpit dashboard:

• Clear Recommendations: Shows the next Assisted Combat recommendation as a neat, movable, customizable button.
• Combat-Safe Cooldowns: Displays smooth cooldown sweeps and readable countdowns for real spell cooldowns, charge-based abilities, and Global Cooldowns.
• Charge Tracking: Abilities with multiple charges show stack counts and recharge feedback, so one ready charge can stay usable while the next one keeps ticking.
• GCD Feedback: Optional separate visual feedback when the Global Cooldown finishes, with its own lighter effect controls.
• Keybind Display: Pulls keybinds from your action bars, with an optional assistant-action keybind mode and configurable fonts.
• Visual Juice: Proc highlights, short ready flashes, subtle pulses, and optional bounce effects when something becomes available.
• Range & Usability Checks: The button tints itself when you are out of range or lacking resources, saving you from heroic button-mashing into nothing.
• Avada Tracker: Compact secondary tracker icons for extra cooldown awareness, with optional countdown text and ready feedback.
• Layout Editor: Move the main button and Avada Tracker with an in-game edit mode, grid, snap-to-grid, and right-click layout controls.
• UI Styling: Tweak size, scale, opacity, fonts, borders, cooldown text, sweep visuals, and effects to match your setup.

Why It Exists

Blizzard's Assisted Combat is a nice idea, but its presentation is easy to miss. Button Assistant Enhanced adds the missing rhythm: a clearer suggested spell, better cooldown feedback, more useful visual states, and just enough customization to make the assistant feel like it belongs in a modern UI.

It does not play the game for you. It just makes relaxed combat feel smoother, more responsive, and nicer to look at. Perfect for laid-back evening gameplay, alt leveling, farming, casual dungeons, and all the honorable beer-friendly ways to enjoy Azeroth.

Settings Overview

The options panel is split into focused sections:

• Layout Editor: Grid size and snap-to-grid behavior for edit mode.
• Main Button: Button size, scale, and border style.
• Visibility: Combat/out-of-combat opacity, combat-only display, and vehicle hiding.
• Keybind Text: Keybind visibility, source mode, font style, and font size.
• Cooldowns & Feedback: Cooldown sweeps, countdown text, GCD behavior, range checks, and usability tinting.
• Effects - Next Ready: Feedback when the recommendation changes to a ready spell.
• Effects - Cooldown Ready: Feedback when a real cooldown or the Global Cooldown becomes ready.
• Effects - Proc Highlight: Persistent proc glow style and proc-start feedback.
• Recommendation Logic: Action-bar visibility filtering.
• Avada Tracker: Compact tracker layout, rows, columns, cooldown text, border style, and ready effects.

Quick Commands

Open the settings panel:
