Arena Core

Arena Core at is base is an Arena Frame addon, but it is MUCH more than that. It has an insanely beautifully custom built (from the ground up) UI and well thought out UX that was built always with the end user in mind (you.)
My goal was to create something that felt like a stand alone “program” inside of WoW, but for PvP, taking a new modern edge take to addons and bringing arena frames to 2025-26, something that hasn’t really been remade from scratch in years. As well as being something that can replace several of your addons while cleaning up your screen, feeding you only critical information and making your UI look more minimalist.

FEATURES/DETAILED INFO: Arena Core is a next gen arena frames addon that combines the best features people know and love while introducing innovative systems that other addons of this category do not offer. Built with modern WoW API standards and optimized performance, Arena Core provides superior customization, intelligent aura tracking, and unique progression features with fun vanity systems for added oomf!

Arena Core has its own ecosystem, it does not rely on other addons for anything and is self sustaining with its own API’s.

• Fully modular, the user decides what shows or doesn’t. Extreme customization options for insane fine tuning for any taste. Take control of your HUD!
• From settings that use slider adjustments, to + and - buttons that move things for pin point accuracy, there is also a full blown Edit Mode inspired by Bartender/WoW’s native edit mode so people who prefer either editing option is taken care of!
• New age automatic saving/profile sharing. Move anything, it auto saves in real time into the database, no need to click save. It also keeps your profile across any and all characters, no need to go searching for profiles.
• Accessibility in mind DR tracking system, you can use color'd borders, OR a “stage” indicator. 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 to indicate how far DR’s are (colorblind conscious)
• Absorb features: A general absorb feature that shows White shields +more.
• Immunity feature: Frames glow, pulse and show shields over them for players that have immunity abilities active, Cloak of Shadows, Blessing of Protection etc. so you do not waste cooldowns into them.
• Trinket design choice! Gone are the days of the standard boring modern trinket icon! Choose the old vanilla style Alliance and Horde trinket icons!
• Spell Color cast bars: Cast bars relate the spell to color system to indicate the spell school, for example.. purple for shadow, red for fire spells and so on! (can be turned off just like anything else in this addon)
• Kick bar Feature: A ominbar-like feature that ONLY tracks kicks/interrupts from the enemy. You can choose to show player names, frame design and more!
• Debuff tracking system: Debuffs are tracked on the arena frames, detailed info tracking and countdown timers, stacks and more fully dynamic. User can choose to show all debuffs OR just the ones that only YOU cause to the enemy.
• Class Icon Portraits with custom exclusive to Arena Core designs. These can be adjusted to size with various other settings.
• Party Pointers so you dont lose your teammates, can be adjusted to size with various other settings.
• Class Icon Pointers: Shows Arena Core’s custom class icons above friendly nameplates with custom outline so you can’t miss them in game or open world! These can also be adjusted to size with various other settings
• Where is my Healer?! feature: Never lose your healer, a specific healer pointer above your healer is always shown, can be adjusted to size and more! (custom made exclusively for Arena Core)
• Global custom Arena Core font system for the entire game (can be turned off)
• /gg arena surrender feature to easily surrender games
• Tooltips feature: show in game spell ID’s for every spell in the game
• Blizzard Frames: Turn OFF blizzard arena frames so they no longer annoy you in arena.
• Over 20 custom built exclusive textures for health/resource bars and cast bars. (more coming soon)
• Detailed DR settings customization: Borders, stage indicators, glow spiral lines, animations for spiral cooldowns, timers and more. 
• Arena Numbers: Show arena number in the frame instead of player name (or use both!)
• Esc Menu button for quick access to the UI configuration
• OminiCC integration, built in integration with various addons such as Ominicc so there is no LUA errors or clashing, they work side by side eachother!
• Feign Death Tracker: Exclusive Feign death tracking indicators custom built for Arena Core, Orange pulsing overlay on the entire frame with bold font telling you its a fake death! Along with glowing frame edges and even an in game chat so it’s impossible to miss!
• Insane Test Mode feature for real time preview experience.

• Modern WoW API usage with super efficient event handling.
• Minimal memory footprint with smart spell caching and throttled live updates to prevent performance spikes
• Combat lock protection throughout to prevent LUA/Taint errors
• Power user features such as the save/safety backup/restore in case of emergencies.
• Debug tools built in for users who use the discord for bug reports in the future (can fix things faster and easier in real time)
• Unregisters events when not in arena, doesn’t just show/hide, but completely disables things so there is no performance loss.

- Semi Exclusive Feature: Aura Tracking - Aura Tracking is A LOT different than other arena frame addons. Some use a hard coded list, while others just show everything. Arena Core has no visual clutter with a custom build Aura Tracking system in place. It has categories, such as Defensives, Interrupts and more that the user can choose to enable or disable themselves, as well as a priority whitelist system that only tracks important spells. It is very detailed, intuitive and user friendly, gone are the days of just being overloaded with everything.

- Exclusive PvP Rating Reward System! - Arena Core tracks and detects your PvP rating/achievements, when you hit thresholds, you unlock rewards! For example, hitting 2100 in the current season rewards a new custom skin for the UI! Lots more is baked in, as low as 1400 rating all the way to rank 1 range! Everyone no matter what gets something cool! Yes, addons are now giving new rewards in PvP before blizzard does. :p There are more than just UI skins already in the works and coming soon, for right now, only one achievement is available during soft launch, which is 2100 rating. You must log in to your main or highest rated character, the addon gathers information, presents you with a REALLY COOL custom achievement overlay graphic, telling you more details and gives you the option to see your reward(s)! Once you unlock it on that character, it auto unlocks on every character on that account!

- Exclusive Feature: Class Packs - Built in tracking system, think weak auras on steroids, but no FPS loss of any kind, lightweight and modular. Priority system built in with icon glows, pulsing, countdown timers and more. Does NOT overload your screen with information, instead be calculated and controlled about what is shown and where its shown critical info only. This powerful tool lets you customize which spells Arena Core tracks for each class. You can click any priority dropdown to set spell importance (priority system). Spells are then scanned in priority order during arena matches, showing in real time how long they have those abilities active for. Add new spells by entering their Spell ID and selecting a priority level. You can use the built in tooltip spell ID system to do this yourself, but it comes pre loaded with everything you need to get started! No need for searching for weakauras or googling information, it’s all built in by high level players!

- Exclusive Feature: Blackout - Blackout is an awareness system that transforms how you react to enemy cooldowns in PvP. Instead of cluttering your screen with 357 WeakAuras tracking individual abilities, Blackout provides instant visual feedback through a simple, elegant solution. Arena Core monitors enemy spell casts and automatically applies visual effects when specific abilities are detected. The system tracks high-priority spells that typically require immediate attention or defensive responses by turning the enemy nameplate Black in color to indicate this. This also works side by side with ANY and all nameplate addons you may have. Benefits: • Instant Reaction Time: See threats immediately without scanning multiple WeakAuras/Addons • Clean UI: No screen clutter - just essential information when you need it • Macro Awareness: Focus on big picture gameplay instead of micro managing cooldown details • Better Teamplay: Quickly communicate threats ("Warrior is black = Trade cooldowns!") and coordinate responses • Improved Performance: React faster to wall, peel, or assist your healer when enemies go offensive
