The core foundation of IMAGO is live and thriving. Now, we are taking the next massive step: Expanding the "Chronicle of the Unforgotten" to cover even more NPCs, more zones, and the rich 20-year history of Warcraft. To scale this up, we are transitioning into a 100% community-driven project.

We are looking for passionate players to join the Discord:

While I've put hundreds of hours into coding and testing, there will inevitably be some bugs or formatting hiccups. I kindly ask for your patience and understanding. # IMAGO – Your Interactive Lore Chronicle & Explorer's Companion

The world has a story. IMAGO preserves it.

Have you ever stood before a major NPC or rode into a new zone and wondered: "Who exactly is this? What is their story? And what happened here?"

When I started playing WoW 4 years ago, I felt exactly like this all the time. I was fascinated by the world, but completely overwhelmed. The game has an incredibly deep history, but finding a connection to the lore in-game is tough. You constantly have to alt-tab to a wiki or read external novels to understand the context. I hated that breaking of immersion. I wanted to make the lore accessible right inside the game, rewarding you for actually playing.

That’s why I built IMAGO.

Meet IMAGO

Forget dry databases and external wikis. IMAGO is a living, breathing in-game chronicle that evolves alongside your character. It turns passive exploration into a rewarding journey—every new zone you step into and every legendary NPC you find adds a crucial piece to a massive puzzle.

Azeroth will feel infinitely more immersive when you no longer just rush past its inhabitants, but truly understand their tragic pasts, hidden motives, and the ancient conflicts shaping the very ground you walk on. You don't just read the lore with IMAGO—you unearth it.

Core Features:

• Explore & Unlock: Discovery is the core loop. Targeting relevant NPCs from Midnight or stepping into new zones permanently unlocks their detailed entries in your personal chronicle.
• A Cinematic Experience: New discoveries trigger beautiful, cinematic title cards and clean UI popups. Enjoy compact, engaging lore summaries alongside crisp 3D models and world maps.
• Fog of War (Undiscovered Status): The chronicle shows you exactly how many zones and characters you are missing (hidden behind an elegant "Fog of War" design). A completionist's dream!
• Time Travel, Search & Filters: Find specific characters in seconds using the search bar, filter by factions, or travel through the timeline of different WoW expansions.
• The Explorer's Dashboard: Track your collection progress and level up your personal historian ranks, starting as a mere "Wanderer" all the way up to the "Perfected Imago".
• "Did you know?" Chat Trivia: Receive subtle, immersive lore snippets directly in your chat window as you travel. Get quick, fascinating context about the area or characters around you without even opening the main UI.

A Word on Lore & Community:

I have to be honest: I am not a walking WoW encyclopedia myself (yet) – just a player with a massive interest in the world's history. Due to this, I've asked members of the community to join in helping fill out the entries. All NPCs, zones, timelines, and more, have been hand written by volunteers. We try our best to check against mistakes and make sure it's accurate, not only to what's been mentioned in World of Warcraft, but from past games and media as well - but we are only human. That’s exactly where I need you! I would absolutely love your support, corrections, and additions. If you are a lore nerd, let me know if something needs tweaking. Let's build something truly great together and make this the ultimate in-game history book of Azeroth

The Roadmap (What's next?):

Currently, the focus is on the newest zones and characters. But this is just the beginning. The chronicle will grow regularly:

1. Past Expansions: The ultimate goal is to work our way backwards through previous WoW expansions chronologically (The War Within, Dragonflight, Shadowlands, BfA, etc.).
2. Instances & Dungeons: Lore doesn't stop at the instance portal! Future updates will introduce raids and dungeons as unlockable areas, detailing their dark and tragic backstories.
3. The Eras of Azeroth (Expansion Summaries): Over two decades and 10 epic expansions have shaped the world we play in today. A dedicated new tab will condense the overarching storyline of every single era—from The Burning Crusade to The War Within—into gripping, bite-sized summaries. Catch up on 20 years of world-shattering history in minutes.
4. YOUR IDEAS: This chronicle grows with its readers. Do you have an idea for a new feature, a quality-of-life tweak, or a new tracking mechanic? Let me know! You are a vital part of this project, and I will do my absolute best to bring the community's greatest ideas to life."*.
