Check auction-house prices from anywhere, without flying back to a city.
The idea is simple: whoever is at the auction house scans it, and everyone else in the guild can look those prices up from wherever they are — out in the field, mid-dungeon, in a raid. It all happens quietly over the guild addon channel
- Search by item name or ID and get the lowest buyout, wherever you are.
- No dedicated host to keep online. Everyone who runs the addon both shares and reads prices, so as long as one guildmate with data is around, you'll get an answer.
- If a few people happen to have the same item cached, the one who scanned most recently is the one that answers
- Full scans (`getAll`, 15-minute cooldown) are spread out over several frames instead of done all at once, so the game doesn't freeze. Bid-only and obvious junk listings are skipped, and prices are stored per unit.
1. Someone opens the auction house and runs a scan. Their lowest per-unit prices get cached with a timestamp.
2. You search for an item, and the request goes out on the guild channel.
3. Anyone holding that price waits a moment (less if their data is fresher) and replies — the first reply wins and the rest cancel theirs.
4. The item name, price, and scan time show up in your window, and anyone listening nearby quietly updates their own cache too.
Using it
- `/gah` or `/guildah` opens the window. You can also click the minimap button.
- Type an item name (or ID) and hit Enter.
- At the auction house, a panel with a Full scan button appears.
