Welcome to FocusMarker, a simple and powerful addon for coordinated players who demand control over target marking. Created by Dentee-Frostmourne, this addon provides a clean, movable bar of raid icons. Simply click the icon you want, and use the special macro—FocusMarker handles the rest, instantly and reliably.

📢 Patch 12.0.7 Update: Native Overwrite Protection

• Target Safety: World of Warcraft Patch 12.0.7 introduces an official macro extension to prevent accidental target marker overrides within groups.
• Smart Skipping: By using a tilde (~) prefix before the target marker ID (e.g., /tm ~8), the game will intelligently skip applying your marker if the unit is already marked by another group member.
• Fully Integrated: FocusMarker v2.0.17 directly inherits this native behavior. The addon's underlying macro logic now cleanly enforces target safety, ensuring you will never blindly override your tank or leader's priority marks during frantic pulls.
• Version Bump: The .toc file has been officially updated to the 120007 interface ID to maintain full compatibility.

⚙️ How to Set Up (Important!)

Because of the strict combat security in Patch 12.0+, this addon works by managing a specific Macro for you.

Step 1: Create the Macro

1. Open the in-game macro menu (/macro).
2. Click "New".
3. Name: You MUST name the macro exactly: FocusMark (Case-sensitive, no spaces).
4. Icon: Choose the Red Question Mark (?) or any other icon you like.
5. Body: Leave the text box EMPTY.
6. Click Save and drag the macro to your action bar.

Step 2: Initialize

1. Click any icon on the FocusMarker bar (e.g., Skull).
2. The addon will automatically write the correct, combat-safe code into your FocusMark macro.

Step 3: Usage

• Hover your mouse over an enemy.
• Press your macro keybind.
• Result: The enemy is Focused and Marked instantly (unless already marked by a teammate!).

✨ Key Features

• Native Edit Mode Support: Enter Blizzard's Edit Mode to unlock, move, and drag the icon bar just like any other UI element!
• Combat Safe: Uses standard slash commands (/fm) to ensure 100% reliability in combat without Lua errors.
• Smart Announcements:
  • In a Party: Announces your chosen icon to chat so your group is coordinated.
  • Solo/Raid: Prints a clean, text-only confirmation to your local chat window to avoid spam.
  • Ready Check Integration: Automatically reminds your group of your focus marker during a Ready Check.
  • Hide/Show: Only need the bar occasionally? Toggle it with /fm show. The macro continues to work even if the bar is hidden!

⌨️ Slash Commands

• /fm - Opens the configuration panel (Icon Size, Orientation).
• /fm show - Shows the icon bar.
• /fm hide - Hides the icon bar.
• /fm lock - Toggles frame locking.
• /fm reset - Resets position and settings to defaults.
