XpAura shows glowing icons as a clean, lightweight rotation aid — and it keeps working in combat under Midnight's new restrictions.
Patch 12.0 (Midnight) made the player's health, power and auras "secret" in combat: addons can no longer read or compare them. XpAura is built around that — it never reads those values directly, it routes them through Blizzard's sanctioned APIs, so your icons light up reliably during the fight, not just on the training dummy.
Features
- Condition-based glow — show an icon (with an optional pulsing halo) when your conditions are met:
- Resource threshold — health or any power (Mana, Rage, Energy, Focus, Runic Power, Holy Power, Soul Shards, Combo Points, Essence…), as a percentage or absolute value. Discrete resources snap cleanly between integer steps (e.g. "Holy Power < 5").
- Spell availability — ready (GCD-aware, no false flicker), not ready, or charges full. Watch the icon's own spell or any other spell.
- Runes available (Death Knight) — threshold on the number of ready runes.
- Combine conditions with AND / OR in a single rule (e.g. Holy Shock ready AND Holy Power < 5).
- Cooldown tracking — icon with the cooldown sweep, or glow-when-ready / glow-when-charged.
- Per-character rules, scoped to Global / class / current spec, grouped into collapsible accordions.
- Export / Import your rules with a shareable code.
- Movable & resizable icons, optional placement grid with snapping.
- Minimap button — left click: config, right click: lock/unlock, drag to reposition.
Usage
/xpaura config— open the configuration window/xpaura unlock/lock— move or lock your icons/xpaura grid— toggle the placement grid/xpaura reset— reset positions and sizes
Create a rule: pick a rule type, set the icon (spell name or ID), add one or more conditions (AND/OR), choose the scope, then Create rule. Unlock to drag the icons where you want them, then lock.
Localization
English, Français, Deutsch, Русский, 简体中文, 한국어, Español, Português (BR). Resource names use the game's own localized text.
