A modular quality-of-life toolkit for WoW Retail / Midnight 12.0.5+

Overview

Handyman bundles focused quality-of-life tools into one lightweight addon with a clean settings window. Each major feature area can be enabled or disabled independently, so you can keep only the parts you want.

Type /handyman or /hm to open settings, or open the Handyman launcher page from the in-game AddOns/Settings window.

✦ Tooltips

Handyman adds useful tooltip details and visual controls while using modern guard rails for Blizzard's newer tooltip behavior.

• Tooltip Controls - Enable or disable tooltip enhancements, adjust tooltip scale, hide the default health bar, and open the Anchor Box for positioning
• Visual Styling - Class-colored borders and class-colored player names
• Player Details - Player title, specialization and role, item level when readable, and target-of-target
• Mount Details - Show a player's current mount and source when available
• Gear Audit - Show missing Midnight enchants and missing gems on your own gear
• ID Display - NPC ID, item ID, spell ID, aura spell ID, quest ID, currency ID, mount ID, achievement/category ID, and faction ID where supported
• Compare Tooltip Handling - Includes current tooltip safety and compare-tooltip anchoring fixes for modern Blizzard tooltip behavior

✦ LFG Enhancements

Handyman improves the dungeon group finder without changing the Blizzard UI into a full replacement.

• Region Tags - Color-coded region labels on group listings and applicant names
• M+ Score Display - Show score on dungeon listings
• RaiderIO Support - Uses RaiderIO when available, with Blizzard rating fallback where the data can be read safely
• Dungeon Listing Sort - Sort dungeon listings by rating high-to-low or low-to-high
• Application Priority - Groups you have applied to or been invited to stay at the top, declined groups move to the bottom
• Rating Filters - Optional min/max rating filter for dungeon listings
• Role Fit Filter - Optionally hide dungeon listings that do not have room for your current role
• Extended Dungeon Filters - Optional Bloodlust/Heroism, battle resurrection, party role fit, and duplicate DPS specialization filters
• Clear Filter Button Position - Moves Blizzard's clear-filter button to the upper-left of the LFG filter button
• Application Safety - Applied and invited groups stay visible even when filters are enabled so you can cancel or respond
• Quick Sign-Up - Choose one-click listing sign-up or selecting a listing first and letting Handyman confirm when you click Blizzard's Sign Up button
• Persistent Sign-Up Note - Optionally reuse your previous LFG application note
• Current Spec Role - Separate optional current-spec role preselection for premade sign-ups and Dungeon Finder role checks
• Auto Role Check - Separate optional auto-accept controls for premade role checks and Dungeon Finder role checks
• Exchange Keystone Reminder - Arm a one-run reminder from Dungeon Finder to exchange your keystone after your next completed Mythic+ dungeon

Note: Applicant rows use a compact region tag only. Applicant rating display and applicant sorting are intentionally avoided due to Blizzard's current applicant viewer restrictions.

✦ Frames

Handyman includes focused controls for Blizzard's default compact party and raid frames.

• Hide DPS Role Icons - Hide only the DPS/Damager role icon on Blizzard party and raid frames
• Tank & Healer Icons Preserved - Tank and healer role icons are left unchanged
• Leader Icon Overlay - Optionally show a Blizzard-style leader icon on compact party and raid frames
• Leader Icon Controls - Adjust leader icon size, anchor point, offset X, and offset Y from the Frames tab
• Raid Marker Overlay - Optionally show target marker icons on Blizzard party and raid frames
• Raid Marker Controls - Adjust target marker icon size, anchor point, offset X, and offset Y from the Frames tab
• Blizzard Asset Safe - Uses Blizzard's built-in group leader and target marker art; no external texture files are required

Note: These options target Blizzard's default compact group frames and are not intended to manage custom unit frame addons.

✦ Floating Combat Text

Handyman gives you practical control over Blizzard's built-in floating combat text.

• Custom Font - LibSharedMedia font picker for combat text
• Text Scale - Adjustable world combat text scale
• Outgoing Text - Damage, healing, and periodic damage toggles
• Incoming Text - Damage/healing, dodge/parry/miss, damage reduction, and shield absorb toggles
• Resources & Procs - Combo points, energy/rage gains, and reactives where Blizzard still exposes supported CVars
• Social & PvP - Friendly healer names, honor gains, and reputation changes where supported
• Animation Style - Controls for outgoing number spread and incoming text movement

Note: Font changes are saved immediately, but Blizzard's 3D world text engine may require logging out to the character select screen and back in before outgoing damage font changes fully apply.

✦ Quality of Life

Small automation and tuning tools that can be used independently.

• Blizzard Auto Loot - Automatically enables Blizzard's Auto Loot setting, with restore support when disabled through Handyman
• Quick Loot - Loots immediately when Blizzard Auto Loot rules allow it, with an optional slight delay mode. Hold Shift, or your configured Auto Loot modifier, to bypass.
• Disable Loot Warnings - Automatically confirms common loot prompts, including loot rolls, disenchant rolls, bind-on-pickup loot, mail lock warnings, and trade-timer removal
• Auto-Fill DELETE - Fills the DELETE confirmation text for protected item deletion dialogs
• Auto Sell Junk - Automatically sells grey-quality items when visiting a merchant
• Auto Repair - Automatically repairs gear using personal, guild, or guild-then-personal funds
• Hide Talking Head Frame - Optionally hides Blizzard's Talking Head dialog frame
• Mouse Cursor Overlay - Optional cursor overlay styles, including ring textures with color selection
• Minimap Data Texts - Optional Guild and Friends data texts below the minimap when BasicMinimap is loaded
• Auction House Helpers - Auto-enable Current Expansion filters and auto-focus the search bar
• Auctionator Support - Optional current-expansion filter support when Auctionator is loaded
• Auto Spell Queue - Optional per-spec SpellQueueWindow tuning based on world latency plus a configurable buffer
• Advanced Spell Queue Controls - Manual override, latency buffer, update threshold, reset controls, and optional chat notifications
• Auto-Accept Quests - Automatically accept quests from NPCs
• Auto-Turn-In Quests - Automatically turn in completed quests when there is not a manual reward choice to make
• Quest Skip Controls - Optionally skip trivial, daily/weekly, and Warband-completed quests when quest automation is enabled
• Auto-Gossip - Auto-select single-option gossip dialogs with loop protection, an optional instance disable, saved option IDs for multi-option NPCs, and ignored NPC controls

Hold Shift while interacting with an NPC to bypass quest and gossip automation.

✦ Settings & Restore

• Custom Handyman Options Window - Available through /handyman, /hm, or the AddOns/Settings launcher page
• Esc to Close - The Handyman options window behaves like other Blizzard dialogs
• Per-Feature Toggles - Enable only the parts you want
• One-Time Feature Notices - Important new feature groups can show a one-time in-game notice so users know where to find the new controls
• Revert & Disable - Disables Handyman and restores WoW settings Handyman captured before changing them
