We Have Cookies is a very lightweight recruitment tool for World of Warcraft designed to help guild leaders advertise and reach out to unguilded players directly in a wholesome way.
Main Features
🍪 Dual Recruitment Modes: Includes dedicated tabs for personalized one on one whispers and public channel broadcasting.
🍪 Precision Search Filters: Filter results by Level (1 to 90), Class, and Faction specific Races.
🍪 Large UI Display: Features high definition fonts and an expanded frame for better readability.
🍪 Message Tracking: Once a player is whispered they are hidden from the search results to prevent duplicate messages. Use the Clear History button to reset message tracking.
🍪 Permanent Storage: All recruitment scripts and broadcast messages plus minimap positions are saved automatically across reloads.
🍪 Clean Design: The interface is fully movable and uses a minimap icon for easy access. It also suppresses the default /who system text to keep chat logs clear.
How to Use
1. Open Interface: Click the cookie minimap icon or type /cookies in chat.
2. Apply Filters: Set the level range and race plus class at the top of the Whisper Mode tab.
3. Find Players: Click Search to populate the list with unguilded players matching your criteria. Press it again after 10 seconds to refresh your search.
4. Contact: Click a name to select them. Use Whisper to send your saved script or Recruit to send a guild invite.
5. Public Ad: Switch to the Broadcast tab to send your saved recruitment message to General or Trade channels. Each button has a 60 second cooldown.
Technical Compliance
This addon does not utilize automation. It is designed to work within the standard World of Warcraft API and adheres to anti spam policies by keeping recruitment actions manual and intentional. And personally, I hate spam, too.
Planned Features
🍪 Guild Finder Chat Link: An optional Broadcast tab feature that adds a Guild Invite Link directly into the custom guild ad, removing the need to open the guild interface (J) everytime and drill down.
🍪 Smart Character Counter: A Broadcast tab feature that adds a live counter to automatically adjust the limit from 255 to 150 when the Guild Invite Link is toggled on.
