WoW's Midnight expansion brought sweeping changes to eliminate addons. HideNPC died in what became known as the addonpocalypse.

HideNPC

HideNPC WoW PvP addon hides NPC blip icons on the minimap when using track humanoids. Great for PvP, making it easier to see players when NPCs are nearby, or if you just don't want to see NPCs in certain situations.

You can track humanoids on the minimap as a Druid in cat form, or as a Hunter, or by eating Blackened Worg Steak. Ensure track humanoids enabled in your minimap settings.

However, multiple NPCs in the vicinity can make it very difficult to see enemy players on the minimap during PvP. Or, too many NPCs clutters your minimap in PvE. HideNPC removes non-player characters from the minimap in your preferred situations.

The elevation arrows are also hidden by the addon, because otherwise when NPCs are hidden, the arrows would still be visible where the dot would be. If you don't like that, you'd have to disable or remove the addon to get the arrows back.

If you decide to disable or remove this addon, you may need to exit and restart WoW to get the minimap back to normal.

• This addon is not compatible with other installed addons that modify minimap blips.
• Requires track humanoids enabled on minimap.
• Enable or disable hiding NPC minimap blip icons for your preferred situations in addon settings.
• Up/down arrow blip icons are also hidden, because otherwise the hidden NPC blips would still show unwanted arrows.
• There is currently no way to hide a hidden NPC's blip icon mouseover tooltip with this addon.
• If you decide to disable or remove this addon, you may need to exit and restart WoW to get the minimap back to normal.
• All of the minimap blip icons are contained in a single image file. Unfortunately, WoW patches often replace this image with a different layout, causing the minimap blips to display incorrectly using this addon. When this happens, an update for the addon will be released to fix the issue as soon as the addon author has time. If minimap icons are affected and no update yet, simply disable the addon and restart WoW. Remember to reenable the addon after updated. Your patience is appreciated.
• Combine with WarCult, get killing blows in any PvP and sacrifice them at the X to earn levels.
• Combine with TopTarget to display an icon on your targeted enemy nameplate, highlighting it as a group targeted enemy.
• For WoW retail battlegrounds, arenas, world PvP & PvE, dungeons, raids, and scenarios.
