Warband Accountant is the ultimate gold management solution for The War Within and beyond. Designed for players managing multiple characters across a Warband, this addon automates the tedious process of balancing gold reserves while keeping a complete accounting of every copper that moves through your Warband Bank. Set individual targets for each alt, classify your characters by role, and let the addon handle the rest—automatically moving excess gold into your Warband Bank or topping up characters who've spent too much on repairs and auction house purchases.

Key Features

Character Deletion (NEW in v1.0.4): Remove ghost characters created by name changes or unwanted entries with a single click. Delete button in the Targets tab or use /wba delete CharacterName for quick cleanup. Includes safety confirmations to prevent accidental deletions.

Update Notifications (NEW in v1.0.4): Get a one-time friendly popup when new features are added—no more missing important updates! Shows once per version, 3 seconds after login.

Transaction Ledger: Complete history of every deposit and withdrawal. See who moved what, when, and how much remains in the Warband Bank after each transaction. Running totals show your lifetime deposited, withdrawn, and net profit—all persistent even when pruning old entries.

Character Classification: Assign roles to your roster—Main, Main Alt, or Alt—each with their own default gold targets. New characters automatically inherit their type's target amount, saving you from repetitive setup.

Per-Character Pause: Temporarily disable automation for specific characters without removing their tracking. Perfect for alts you're currently leveling or characters holding gold for specific purchases.

Flexible Sorting: Organize your character list exactly how you want it. Use intuitive arrow buttons to move characters up and down, or switch to Number Mode to assign precise sort order values (1, 2, 3…).

Automatic Transfers: Opening your Warband Bank triggers instant calculations. Excess gold deposits automatically; deficits withdraw instantly (if enabled). Smart processing prevents duplicate transactions during the same bank visit.

Safety Controls: Optional confirmation dialogs prevent accidental transfers, or run fully automated if you trust your targets. Per-character pause states add another layer of control.

Session Tracking: Monitor profit and loss across all characters since login. See at a glance which alts are earning and which are spending, with visual ↑/↓ indicators in the tooltip.

Full Minimap Integration: Built with LibDBIcon for perfect compatibility with MinimapButtonBag Reborn, SexyMap, ElvUI, and other button collectors. Drag to reposition or hide entirely. Tooltip shows current character status, Warband Bank balance, and complete roster summary.

Tabbed Interface: Clean, Baganator-inspired design with three dedicated tabs—Targets (manage goals and character types), Ledger (transaction history), and Settings (configure defaults and sorting).

How It Works

After installation, type /wba to open the main window. Each character you log into is automatically tracked. Assign a Character Type (Main/Main Alt/Alt) to inherit default targets, or set custom gold amounts manually. Enable automatic deposits/withdrawals globally, then pause individual characters as needed. The next time you open your Warband Bank, the addon executes transfers instantly and records them to your Ledger for permanent record-keeping.

If you ever rename a character or want to remove old entries, simply click the red Delete button in the Targets tab or use the /wba delete command.

Technical Details

Warband Accountant uses Blizzard's secure C_Bank API for all transactions, ensuring compatibility with future patches. The addon stores data account-wide via SavedVariables, including a 500-entry rolling transaction ledger with persistent lifetime statistics. LibDBIcon integration means no more fighting with minimap button collectors—the button behaves exactly like other modern addons.

Version tracking ensures you're always informed about new features through unobtrusive one-time notifications.

Installation

Install via CurseForge App, WowUp, or manually extract to Interface\AddOns\. Requires no additional dependencies—all libraries (LibDBIcon-1.0, LibDataBroker-1.1, etc.) are included. Supports The War Within (Retail) and future expansion patches.
